Girlguiding North East England
A team of ladies from Girlguiding came from all over the North East to support us on our walk. They arrived early and went on to attend a President’s lunch and auction in York as part of the celebrations of Girlguiding UK’s Centenary year. Triathlon team: a family affair!
Team T 3, made up of Richard, Alan and Graeme Pratt and Guy Rae have embarked on several challenging triathlon events. They warmed up the season with a 10K road race at South Shields, ran round the walk to d’feet course and did their first full triathlon at Driffield last Sunday. World Research Coordinator addresses AGM
The Yorkshire Dales Branch held their AGM at the Acorn Centre in Harrogate on Sunday 14th April. Harrogate Mum Conquers Machu Picchu
Diane Margis has written us a very moving account of her recent Challenge trekking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. We are very proud of her for doing this and for taking on her next challenge to walk the Great Wall of China in 2011. Great North Run
Anne Pratt writes: Sunday 20th September was a beautiful sunny day. My daughter Jenni and her boyfriend Guy were full of nervous energy as we dropped them off near to the start of the run. 24 members attended another very successful Christmas lunch and raffle at the Chapterhouse in Pannal. We have been well looked after by Peter, Brenda and Judy for many years but they have sadly decided to retire. Our thanks go to them for all their hard work. Steve Irvine exchanges Car for Bicycle for MND
Steve Irvine has already raised thousands of pounds and raised awareness of MND by promoting the Association at many events with his rally car.
