Supported by some of our Association Visitors (Margaret, Libby and Pam), our “Drop in Café” is a chance for anyone with a connection to MND to come along and meet others and enjoy some time together. We have welcomed people living with MND, their carers and families, friends and sometimes babies too! All are very welcome indeed – no need to let us know, just come along if you fancy a bit of “time out”, just for you.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, from 2-4pm, at Christian’s Café, at the Harrogate Antiques Centre, Leeds Road in Pannal (We still remember it as Woody’s!).

Dragon Sax Quartet plays for MND

Rachel Howard’s daughter Millie is organizing a saxophone concert at 2.30pm on 28th April, in Holy Trinity Church, Knaresborough. Tickets are available on the door (or contact Rachel on 01423 797871). Featured are Dragon Sax Quartet (14-16 year old players) and Sax Shades, an adult group.

Come along for an afternoon of music, for a really good cause! Thank you Millie for supporting the MND Association.

Many thanks to Paul Bradley and daughters Louise and Fleur for organizing the wonderful lunch at Mirabelle in Harrogate. Lionel Strub (shown here with Paul) put on excellent fare and a fantastic £1035 was raised, taking the total the Bradley family has raised in memory of Carol to a stunning £10,056. Well done and thank you!!

Golfing days to remember…

Committee member Peter Wallis has been selling used golf equipment for nearly ten years, to raise money for the Branch. So far he has raised a staggering figure of over £10,000!!

Peter’s son – also Peter – recently held a golfing competition in Bridlington and donated the proceeds to the MNDA too. He is pictured, above right, presenting a cheque to his father, who is shown receiving it on behalf of the Branch.

Our thanks go to both of the Peters… and our admiration of such a wonderful decade of fundraising!!
