Great North Run
Anne Pratt writes: Sunday 20th September was a beautiful sunny day. My daughter Jenni and her boyfriend Guy were full of nervous energy as we dropped them off near to the start of the run. Guy knew what to expect as he had run before but Jenni was a newcomer and wondered why she had ever agreed to it. We drove to South Shields and found a great place about 1 mile from the finish. It was a fantastic atmosphere and we were busy trying to spot MND T-shirts among the crowds. We were amazed how many people were actually running for MND. Andy Holleyhead was the first of our runners home followed by Jenni Pratt and Guy Rae and then Carla Wainwright Smith. They raised a fantastic £2,320 between them and we are very proud of all of them. Well done and hope you are all in training for this year!!
