Steve Irvine exchanges Car for Bicycle for MND

Steve Irvine has already raised thousands of pounds and raised awareness of MND by promoting the Association at many events with his rally car. In July he exchanged 4 wheels for 2 when he and some 20 of his friends and work colleagues embarked on a 70 mile canal-side sponsored bicycle ride from Leeds Canal Basin to Albert Dock in Liverpool. After many adventures including five punctures and several falls the team successfully completed the course and raised a staggering £2691. Moreover, on hearing about the team achievement Steve‟s work boss increased the total to £3000 – all for the benefit of people with MND. Our sincere thanks go to Steve.

If there are any readers who can and would like to thank Steve personally they can go to the Harewood Hill Climb this Saturday 19th September where Steve‟s wife will be taking part in the car that sports the MND colours and logo. The Dales Branch will be there with a promotion stand. Full details of the event are available at the Harewood Hill Climb website.
