Phones, bikes and pens...
- Recycling your old mobile phone can help raise money for the MND Association.
Telephone 01604-611888 and ask for the mobile phone recycling bag. The Association will receive £3 for every mobile phone donated. - Amy Smith, 20, who father Derek died from MND two years ago, completed the Association’s London to Amsterdam cycle ride in his memory. She and her boyfriend Tom Walker from Pudsey, who went with her and 60 other cyclists, raised almost £4,000. Amy sends her thanks to members of the Yorkshire Dales Branch who supported her.
- That nifty pen that our Chairman Peter Thompson uses is called a Penagain. You can buy a similar one at gbapen.net or try www.thepenzone.co.uk It has a wishbone-shaped handle and is easy to hold for people who are finding writing difficult.
- We have had several items offered free to good homes for people living with MND. There is a big button telephone, computer adaptations including a keyboard and two motorised scooters. Contact Anne Pratt on 01423-867017
